The Challenge is a unique approach linking tourism goals to environmental sustainability. The program challenges businesses to adjust operations in order to become more environmentally sustainable while challenging visitors to conduct their leisure travel activities by reducing harmful emissions and try new methods of travel as part of a vacation adventure.

Travel Tips for Better Trips is an online guide that promotes Stay & Explore Accommodators, attractions, activities and other features by linking to “greener” travelers and showing communities and the marketplace that our tourism sector take climate change and habitat protection seriously.

The Green Vacation Challenge helps accommodators to determine how they can promote sustainability in the marketplace and how they can showcase better business practices that will promote responsible travel. The Travel Tips for Better Trips promotion will include a media campaign that includes on-line e-broadcasting and a web presence throughout the Bearfoot Canada online network.
